Today I have quilted half of my Farmer's Market quilt, and I will finish quilting it tonight.  I have the binding ready to sew on a customer quilt, and I WILL get that done this weekend.  Then I have the fabric ready to cut binding for 3 other quilts of mine that we finished this week.

This week we only quilted my quilts (and three of my Mom's) while we learned the new software for the quilt machine.  Awesome software.  So Monday its back to the customer quilts.

Then next weekend Dennis is out of town so I have 3 days to play.  I am trying to decide what I want to work on while he is gone.  Such Excitement!

Pat, how was the step class?  Is the drawing phase fun or more just work?  I would think it would be a little of both.

I did finish quilting Farmer's Market.  Today I am working on the binding for 5 quilts, and pinning a quilt on for Dennis.

Have a great weekend.

I LOVE this step class! The teacher is awesome..it's for 'beginners' so I can learn and she is VERY GOOD at not singling me out as learning.. although others are learning parts.. I'm the only virgin in the workshop.. LOL!!! This is my 3rd time.  The other step class was too advanced and I couldn't keep up with learning the moves and terms... will try it again in a few months.

The drawing is INTENSE... as I'm working bass-akwards... I have fabric, now need to design quilts to show it off... the book is precuts so I have sets of fabric and now have to design.   When I design the quilt first and apply fabric afterwards that just flowssssssss... this takes thinking. So I'm getting ready to shut off email so I don't get so distracted!!!

you are really zooming on your stuff!

I am working on a piece which involves  using some Japanese Fabric bought at our last quilt show and some paper pieced kimonos stitched on the Japanese fabric with dragon flies.  I am going to use 100wt thread when I get to the stitching down part. I keep having these different ideas on how to do things but I have to get it done soon so will have to make some decisions quickly.

I've been working on a basket quilt, I squared up the blocks and that was not easy so many yoyo's rushed flowers and hard embellishments! The gals in my quilt group made the blocks this will be donated to the Markee cancer center, I just finished machine quilting and attaching the binding, will try and twist someone's arm to hand sew the binding down Grin
The gals are of all levels of quilting and I think they did a fantastic job, we used the basket from Bunny Hill's BOM which we are doing as a group

I finished the binding on my Farmer's Market.  Dennis is waiting for the perfect light to take a pic.  He is now in love with this quilt.

I also finished 16 of my log cabin blocks.  I just have 20 more to finish.  They are all over half pieced.  I have decided that if I stitch every spare minute that I can find, that I can finish the blocks this week.  Now I'm excited.  Then just sew them together, and I will have a top.  This one gets no borders, just quilt and bind.

Wow Cindy that is GREAT !!!  Good lighting is the most important thing!

I got my Season of Grace July block underway... other than that it's projects for the next book... takes all my 'making time' for the day!

We had wicked storms most of the day today.  At noon it was as dark as midnight.  It blew lots of blooms off of my crepe myrtles.  Anyway, I didn't get anything done except whipping binding while it stormed.  Tonight I'm quilting.

On a good note, the temps were around 79 all day.
