Last summer I dyed some yarn with KoolAid, canning jars, and my microwave oven. It was SO easy, very little mess, kitchen friendly (didn't have to worry about toxins). I'd love to try it out on fabric. I've heard you can also use Easter egg dye - now's the time to stock up.

Hi all,

A while ago I mentioned my application for a Creative Team for an online quilt shop.  Well I made it.  So lots of happy dancing down here.  I will show you my winning creation once it all gets announced and they reveal the projects.  Have one more leaf to stitch on the block I showed you the other day... will have to start on the rest soon.

LOL... no... I was doing multiple types of kits... I think I over cut something... but it's werid.  i'm VERY careful ... everything stacked, all kits have the number of fabrics counted... etc..

and only left one piece out of the first 5 I did.. mailed that long ago. And that was because i forgot to write it on my master list!

Amanda, that is awesome!

Pat, I'm sure you were careful, but save the extra pieces just in case... someone might contact you!

Spent yesterday sewing with a friend and 15 of the 20 thangles blocks I needed to finish for this month.  Today I will finish those last 5 and work on my Vicksburg BOM.  My next project is a guild challenge... design a wall hanging between 24 & 42 inches (not necessarily square) using black and white and one other color.  I've got an idea in my head... now I've got to get it to paper and fabric and done by April 15.  hopefully having a deadline will get it done.

I'm at the Lancaster show and believe me it is a disaster. I will write more later when I get back tonight to my 'new' motel after the first one refused to turn on the air conditioning and it was 88' in my room. It's not the season yet was the excuse. I checked out this a.m. and then worried I would not have a place to sleep tonight that didn't cost over $200. Well I just got my computer on-line in this mom and pop motel and it is a clean room. So I'm headed back to the quilt show - oh no - wait first I drive to one of the two parking lots miles away from the venue and take the shuttle to one of the three different sites for the show. Yeah, that's right. I forgot.  Undecided
