Okay, I am going to try uploading pics per your helpful suggestions. This is a little art quilt that I just finished. I took a class with Carol Taylor and learned the spiral couching technique. I quite like it!

Hi, I'm not getting much sewing done this summer, sigh. But this weekend I "decorated" a nap towel for DGS who is starting kindergarten in a few days. On one side I appliqued a strip of Batman Fabric and appliqued his name in big bright letters, on the other side/other end I did the same with pirate fabric. It actually took longer than I thought it would...the towel fabric was kinda stretchy...but it all turned out ok, and I think he will love it. While I was working on that, I listened to some quilty podcasts...a first for me...learning as I go.
Another thing I'm working on is Pat's "I Believe" quilt...yes I'm still plodding along, sometimes I only have about a half an hour a week, but I love the way it is looking. BTW Pat, if you have posted the name of the block for Aug, I missed it, sorry.
And I've been doing a lot of thinking/looking at quilt photos on the web for inspiration for our church quilters group, starting up again in September.
Long answer, off to walk 3 mi w/neighbor..I'm "in training, ha" for a 5/k walk on Labor Day weekend....I don't want to come in with the last group like I did last year, VBG.

I've been busy working at the county fair the last two weeks, so I haven't gotten much quilting done lately.  I have to start making tablerunners this week for UC Quilt Festival and my church's fall festival in September.  I have 3 WIPs....
1.  the Piece O Cake 1950's Santa Quilt...I have block 1 done and am 2/3 through the second one.
2.  I have 3 more sides of praire points to add to my sunbonnet sue quilt
3.  I am slowly handquilting my Rosewood Cottage quilt in my "spare" time.

I'm working on a wall hanging by Jo Morton from her book Remembrances.

It's the one on the cover, bottom right. Here's what I have so far.

Pat, I'd like to post pics of what I'm working on but they are too big for this forum.  Gregg helped me with my profile picture but I forget what the website was that he sent me to.  Is he available to send me an email with the info?

Hi All,
Well finally got up the courage to try Mashup====not so scary.
I'm working on an Oriental quilt that was inspired by a 12 year olds quilt I saw at a little show in West chester NY!    Can you believe it? 12 yrs old--it was beautiful.
Up to sandwiching and quilting I have a short arm but think I'm going to use my dsm, too many straight lines---hate to pin tho.

After I posted the question here, I browsed through the forum and found the tut on resizing and got it done!  Here is my January Santa Block.  My February Santa is still missing his head so I'll wait to post that one later. Smiley

Revrosefairy...
I love your quilt!  My SIL chose a similar pattern from a book I have for a tablerunner she wants me to make her for Christmas.

I love the rocket Santa! What type of applique / prep do you do? I'm ALWAYS looking for new tips and tricks. So far, fusible hasn't worked out well for me. I seem to get stuff backwards and waste lots of Steam A Seam with mess-ups.
