I got all the pieces fused for the first block!
Hubby really likes the fact that I used purple for the flowers!
Plan to do the stitching with varigated thread to give it more dimension, we will see how that works out.

Last night I posted a picture to FLicker, I already joined and made my membership and then this morning when I went to go look, my picture was gone.  ODD.

anyways, already got block two printed out! Now to think on what colors to use!

Flickr was acting odd today.  I could only see all of the Meadow Breeze blocks if I signed in, otherwise, about 6 or 7 were missing.

Pat, I have a question on the blanket stitching you use on your blocks.  I see that  use a you Bernina.  What are the settings you use; width and length?  Also, do you ever use stabilizer under the project to get a smoother finish?  Your blocks always look great!

1- Flicker ... sometimes people don't make their photos 'public' so that is why you must sign in to see them

2- LOVE your block Robin!!

3- as you might expect.. I do not have an 'exact' setting I use for my blanket stitch...the machine does not have a 'number' is a little sliding bar... so I'm at about 3.5 on the zig zag and a tad less on the straight.

4 - I NEVER EVER use stablizer. If you have a good machine, good fabric, then your blanket stitch should not require you to stabilize. BUT if you see pulling then there must be an issue somewhere.  check your machine tension...etc...  if everything is ok, then try spray starching the piece AFTER fused until it's about like paper.. then you can wash out the starch later

5 - Meadow Breeze Part 2 is on my blog today!! remember there is a category on the right side bar for the Mystery BOM and it will be on my website too!

sooooo excited to find fabrics for the second part of the Meadow Breeze!  And a butterfly?  I love it!  Think we can all have fun with the butterfly Smiley  And 36" is going to be the right size I think for putting on the bare wall in our entrance that goes to the basement!!
It's gonna be a GOOD weekend!  Thanks, Pat!!
