Oviedo to add layers of history with Quilt Day

Layers upon layers of history - some dating as far back as the Civil War - will unfold before curious eyes this weekend when the Oviedo Woman's Club holds its first-ever Quilt Documentation Day.

Hundreds of people from all around Central Florida are expected to converge on the Oviedo Woman's Club, located at 414 King St., Oviedo, on Saturday for Quilt Documentation Day. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last quilt being accepted for documentation at 2:30 p.m. Information collected will be entered into the Quilt Index website for scholars and others to peruse.
