Ok- Count me in too! I have a dresden block quilt that I would love to finish piecing at the very least-Gold medal if I can get it quilted to boot. Did I mention I have a machine quilting phobia? I took a great class and I think I could handle it but I worry about ruining my quilts. Which is silly because now they sit done but not quilted, so they are essentially useless. I keep thinking I'll have someone do the quilting for me once I win the lottery  Cheesy

As soon as I dig the pieces of my quilt out I take a pic and post it on Flickr. Thanks for the support and peer pressure too Smiley

have a few projects lined up, still working on my basket quilt, also working on some knitting, this cold just makes me want to snuggle down on the couch with hand work, and I love watching the olympics, opening ceremonies last night were great, I heard on the news that all 49 states have measurable amounts of snow!!

It's not just the 49 states it's all 50. Hawaii has snow on its mountains. That's what I heard and it a record too. Strange how this global warming is behaving, right?

Okay, it took me a while to step up to the plate (and figure out how to upload my photo onto FlickR - I am SO computer challenged) but I'm in!  I've got some great blocks that the gals who are part of my online quilt circle sent me as part of their Christmas swap and I'd really like to get them set and quilted.  I'm thinking about a twist and turn setting.  I've never done that before but I think it would work well with this collection of blocks that all have different backgrounds.  Should be scrappy and fun!

Thanks, Pat!  I'll check out the link.  I started working the blocks today - got a few done but am having a devil of a time figuring out how to get them to lean in more than one direction.  Maybe you'll have some tips I can use!

I*m in! I have been planning for weeks what to do during the Olympics. I have a Hunters' star small quilt which needs quilting, once I figure out how I want to quilt it. I am also still working on the Bunny Hill baskets. I am also  working on the Breast of friends from the Homespun magazine. I signed up for a lot of BOM projects last winter, and fell out during the summer last year, had such a busy summer and fall. So now I am playing catch up. I found it very difficult to follow when Pat changed the system last year. Also, my computer reports the mails as spam....

Glad you got the forum figured out Berit!!!  Hope you can find the place in your computer to do filtering of emails. Just put the emails common part as a item that does not get any filtering... not sure what system you use but it's very doable.. security is crazy anymore!

Marie to tilt your have to start with a set of triangles sliced one way, then be very focused and slice them the other way to tilt the opposite direction. I have a step by step photo display of it in the book.  The tilting is such fun, but does take a few to get in get in the groove!

Watched a bit of olympics last night.. hope to have it on today... say some speed skating!

I have a very limited amount of TV time...I will watch some of the Olympics in the kitchen while the Nascar race at Daytona is on in the LR...Oh, and the Illini game...and run back and forth...is that an Olympic Event? It could be at my house..LOL...busy afternoon

So what ever I sew has to be a hand project...I have all but 3, of a swap of Dresden plate blocks, sewn down..so I'm going to get those DONE...

this afternoon I'm going to start gathering some things for a retreat in a couple of weeks...have to do it when I have a little block of time....then I'm looking for some simple SPRING ideas to hand stitch on some tea towels, to finish up the Olympic Challenge.
More snow on the way....

I've gotten a start on quilting my table runner. Now that I got over the hurdle of starting it - I'm actually enjoying the process. I am using freezer paper with the design drawn on it ironed to the runner to quilt the design on. I am kind of making it up as I go- any planning I'm doing with the design on freezer paper moved around until I like it. It's been a good process for me. I keep going away and coming back to it solving problems - and even surprised myself by turning on of the designs into hearts!

Now I'm planning to use a different thread in each section as I'm sure I don't have enough of the pink to do the whole thing.  I'm enjoying reading about all the planned projects. I have some hand work to do to - I just fused together another Madhatter Tea Party block to work on. I will make that quilt this year! Smiley
