I can't take this much longer.  We have not had power since Sat and they say we may not until Fri.  I can't do any handwork since it is dark, very dark in the house.  Yes, I could go upstairs to the Therapy room but have not had the desire nor the energy to do so.  This just plain old sucks!   Cry

Big Hugs Candy!  Can you sew by candle light or go to a bookstore or coffee shop nearby that has power?

Better yet, take some stuff to the quilt shop and ask if you can sew there. LOL You're mood will improve, promise.

Candy, where do you live?  When we lived in Rockville, Maryland, we were in an older neighborhood with overhead power lines.  When it snowed heavily or had a big rainstorm, we would often lose power--sometimes for a day or two.  But I don't remember ever going for days without power though.  I hear on the news that many people in Maryland still don't have power.  I hope you do get your power back soon!

Day 4 and we got our power back!   Grin  We live outside of Philly and a HUGE tree fell over power lines on our street.  You could not really see it since it was down a large embankment with the wires sitting in a creek.

I use to live in Rockville, Silver Springs, and Greenbelt. I saw so much while we lived in the area.  JFK's death, Martin Luther King and the riots in DC and Bobby Kennedy. I am sure the area has changed over the past 45 years!  lol

We have saltwater fish so one of us needed to be here to monitor the air flow in the tank.  There was just a lot to do.  Worked a bit on my room while the sun was out.

Yep, a hot bath and tomorrow a cup of coffee!!! You can't beat that!

Candy,
So glad the power is back on!   BTW, are you going to be joining us at the OAKS?  We are taking Laura Wasilowski's Leaf class on Saturday.  Please join us or at least meet up with us at the show! Cheesy

YAY, Candy!!  I forgot this morning about the fish - hope they make out fine.  We had tons when I was a kid.  My mother worked at a pet shop and brought home every tropical fish they had.  We had a huge bar my dad made with tank in the center, then several tanks all over the house.  One wall in the basement rec room was about a dozen tanks - they sat on a shelf in the laundry room and the other side looked like picture frames.  It really was pretty.

Candy so glad you have power. I know it can be a real pain without. I have lots of candles and one time we lit them and used them for heat as it January and rather cold after an hour. Heat was out all day, but back on by bed time as a bird flew into a transformer thingy and then when they shifted us to another station or something they blew that one also. We are so dependent on electric now days. Sometimes I wish I had a fireplace and a few kerosine lamps just in case.
