Lovetostitch,  We are in the Memphis area.  Where is your neck of the woods?

I want to start Baker's Dozen, too.  I have all the fusible traced, but that's it.

LoveToStitch, I just looked up your area of GA.  I have never been there.  The closest I have been was probably Chattanooga, and then south of Atlanta.  I have now added your area to places that I want to visit.

I also still want to go to Savannah, GA, and Charleston, SC.  We like to drive so I could probably figure out a route to visit all three places.  We went to FL this year, and then planned to go up the coast, but that awful rain from the hurricane in early November drove us home early.

Have a great evening.

Who Dat!!! One the Game!!!  Really a great game but the commercials were so so!  The Doritos with the no collar on the dog was really funny.

Wonder if Robin Roberts will be on GMA in the morning - if so, no voice!!

Love all the quilts that have been posted tonight.  So many different ones and all great!!!

Dennis - nice to see your face - all I had all day was a box with a red x in it.  Have you picked a pattern?  What fabrics will you use?  Anxious to see what you do.

My DH did a great job with the sauce with ground beef and sweet Italian sausages.  He is really new to meals other than breakfast and great sandwiches. I have always done all of the cooking and grilling and am just tickled he finally wants to learn.  He does help and keeps me company so I am not alone by myself doing it all.  And when I am under the weather or recovering from surgery he takes charge and takes great care of me.  All of my friends are jealous, but that is why I married him 36 1/2 years ago - he is definitely a keeper.

Off to bed so I can get a good start on trimming blocks (guess I should have done that before I did the layout  Roll Eyes ) and sewing the top together in the morning.

WOW Everyone has been sooo busy and gotten so much done!

I had a busy day here... and some time to sew.
I've put together about 20 blocks and have about 20 more to make.
I've laid them out in different settings posted options on flickr...   I think
I want to go with the option pictured here... maybe... I don't know...Please
help me choose which way to set them

Okay, me again ... it's 11:44 p.m. here in Riverside, California.  I'm a night owl so it's not unusual for me be on the computer late into the night.  Finally finished my quilt top.  First time to work with the yellow-black color combo and am happy with the result:

I do love the red-black color combo of Dennis and Cindy's quilt ... very striking!  Tons of great quilts on flickr ... everyone has done such a great job!  So glad I joined Camp Sloanie and look forward to another great event.

Life got in the way (big time) this weekend  Embarrassed but, today after work I will get to finish up camp and get some more sewing/tops done.....at least that's the goal.  Wink  So I'll be working on the "Student Extension Program" as well - LOL I'm just really glad that I'm not going to be the only one  Smiley Makes me feel MUCH better.  All the finished layouts/quilts look AMAZING!!!! I'd have never guessed that 1 little block would provide so many wonderful, and beautiful, options!!!! WOW!!! I think that this has become my new favorite block!!

Dennis and Cindy!

I LOVE that red and black combo...so fun.  What a different look than my warm reds and tans...I'm a cool colour fan more than warm colours so I like yours better Dennis LOL.  But, this one is for a wedding lap quilt gift so I have to go by their preferences.

I'm up at at 'em...need to jump into the shower yet and get the laundry going, but then I'm down in the sewing room for the day...possibly have a friend coming to sew today, but we can work together.  Now, you guys are tempting me big time to continue with this block!  I have a bunch of 1" strips in my bins (stored Bonnie Hunter style) and would LOVE to make a mini...wonder if I'll have time to put a few together...wouldn't take long eh?  Why not??  As long as I work on the Dick and Jane quilt as well (just in case the baby arrives on the due date tomorrow LOL).  I'll letyou know if I succeeded.  Here's a picture of my storage system:

Jacqui - great storage and cutting system. LOVE the wood blocks under the table legs! I never even touched my bag of 1.5" strips. I had WAY too many 2.5" ones. BUT - I'm thinking of usig the smaller ones for a log-cabin style block. Have to let that idea simmer a bit.

And ... as much as I've LOVED every minute of Camp Sloanie and Quilting by the Lake with Donna - I do hope I can get back home today before more snow tomorrow.

Great set up, Jacqui - mine are in bins, not room for the drawers, but trying to figure it out.
Have a safe trip home, Mary - great work

I must say all those quilt tops are great - so many options, hard to believe they can look so different!!

hmmm - Memphis......!!!  I have a neice in Nashville, so could skip along!
