Yeah, yeah!!  I am looking forward to this.  I pulled out some of those FQ's I was thinking about using this morning.  I'm going to ditch the few that are not quilt shop quality fabric.  With the uglies I'll just have to do what you said Pat and cut them into small pieces.  Some of them are going to have to be pretty small!

Our sewing guild has a FIU 'contest'  for the year.  Pick 6 UFO's and complete one every two months or pay two FQ's.  One of my six projects is to make a scrap quilt using those very same FQ's.  Yeah, yeah!!!  This is PERFECT!!

Thanks and looking forward to Camp Sloanie!

My "word" this year could/should have been - stashbuster. Is that really a word? I have cream/white stored in a large laundry basket because it no longer fit in the bin. I'll be in VA for that weekend sewing with a friend. I'll have to get her involved in this too.

Pat, I have made alot of quilts, but I haven't made a "3 color quilt" or 2 colors....  I have alot of your books and I love your quilts.  I notice that you don't have alot of fancy, fancy prints.  They all "play" well together.  I am trying to learn that.
For this project, I have alot of purples.  What color would you suggest to go with purples?
Thanks

Looks like I'll be doing some pre Camp Sloanie stash busting THIS weekend.  Was looking through my stash for Camp Sloanie (while also keeping in mind that I should make 4 boy themed baby quilts) and discovered 60 5" minkie squares.  Yeah, yeah!  1 down, 3 to go.  Then I found some fabric for a 2nd boy quilt - 2 (almost) down, and 2 to go - and I'll pick from some of my batik scraps for those!!  Just one trip to my favorite LQS for a little fabbie to complete the two and backgrounds for #3 and #4 and we are all set.  80% of the fabric for the 4 quilts will be from stash!!

Then, finally, I found the rest of the fabrics form my Sloanie week/weekend scrap quilt.  This is good!!  It's a start in trying to put at least a dent in my stash!  If I can squeeze in a girl baby quilt as an extra for when someone finally has a girl I'll use even more stash.

Now on to gather power snacks.  Since I already ate the ones I found a few days ago - hehe.

Looking forward to lots of sewing!

I have pulled the fabrics, pattern and templates for one of the projects I plan to work on at Camp next weekend.

Looks like is is going to snow most of the day tomorrow.  Great day to sew all day.  I think I'll have to start my Camp Sloanie sewing early  My MIL is going to be visiting from Thurs thru Mon and we like to spend as much time with her as we can since we only see her once or twice a year.

I think I have found enough scraps for what I want to make.  Lets see if I can post the picture this time...

Well I've been digging and pulling and I found to many UFO's! Oh My I was a bad girl! So along with all the fabrics I had tucked away I pulled a few of these UFO's along with fabrics to finish them up camp weekend.  I have 3 lap quilt tops to finish that are going to a friend in FL who will put them together and quilt, then donate to Ronald McDonald house there. Gotta get them done & outta here. Then I also found a ton of blocks in various themes such as Xmas, Friendship, 9 patches that I need to turn into something. Gotta get the juices flowing here, maybe turn out some really nice quilted mini's to give as gifts throughout the year.

And then I want to start cutting out my burlap stockings that I am giving to my grands for xmas, I may just have to take some of those blocks and make quilted backings for these stockings instead of just plain fabric. Hmmmmmmmmm one way to use up all these blocks! Maybe even do a few aprons, pillows, etc.

I found bags of strips & scraps tucked into places I forgot all about having. Even found a bunch of thimbleberries fabrics from yrs ago that I made a Pansy in the Park quilt with, I did use some of those in my Jan block, but I have much much more to use up!

This is gonna be a clean out weekend for me! No more UFO's is my motto, quilt them up & move them out! I'm starting to sound like a drill sargent! LOL

Lets go ladies..................."Who yah gonna call ...Camp Sloanie Stashbusters!" ROTFL
