Sounds like a fun camp!! I plan on participating, even though the week before will be a killer work week for me.........but this should be just what I need to relax. LOVED the interview with Bonnie yesterday, and I just happened to receive her new book in the mail yesterday, too.

Pat, if you want to attach the code to your button, here is a tutorial: http://zakkalife.blogspot.com/2008/05/html-button-tutorial.htmlI have some "twice the charm" packs from RJR - sets of 5 1/2 x 22" pieces that I haven't figured out how I want to use yet. I can't wait to get going with them though.

I will actually be at the quilt retreat on that weekend. How cool is that. And it's a FIU retreat. I'm not sure what to bring, this will make it easier. The internet will be tough going to a very remote lo-cal.... No husbands or children can find us there. Phones do not ring, no service unless you are standing on the hay bale at the corner of the property. (I am not kidding about this) Pat, awaiting further orders....

I am pulling piles of fabric. I am so excited. I was telling a friend about it today, and I think she is coming over to sew with me on Friday of camp weekend. Dennis will be at work on Friday, but he will be here on Saturday and Sunday.
I think I have decided on my colors, but Dennis is still considering his fabric. Yes, he does have his own stash of fabric, and I have learned not to use any of his fabric without permission. He may not make more than a block or two, but he will definitely be present and chatting.

Cindy - how great that Dennis will sew with you. My John will be on his computer while I sew in my studio next door to his office. Since we are retired we work for fun at home!!

Pulling all my fabrics out and see what I come up with. while I was digging around I found these lovely blue & white dollies I picked up at a yard sale realizing I purchased them because they reminded me of a quilt block, Gotta include them some how. This is gonna be a fun camp.
Thinking I need to buy some smores for camp weekend! He He Like I need another reason to buy chocolate! LOL
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, gonna have to put on a crock pot of grub on, so dear Mike doesn't starve and I get my norishment while quilting away!!!!!!!!
Quilt till ya wilt ladies!

Tomorrow .. Thursday... I'm giving more directions on fabric use and thought.. then hope by the weekend to have the block so you can decide if you want to use it or use another.
the whole idea is to bust stash FAST... we are not going to deal with fiddly tiny pieces this time..... unless you want to of course cuz I really have NO rules..... but the less fussing the more sewing...
so I'm going to try for the weekend to share the block then next week you could be cutting fabirc and by friday you'll sew =sew sew!!
and grub in the pot is mandatory.. makes me think of a 'chuck wagon' on the prairie!!

I really like the idea of having a friend over for the camp. I work Fri. and Sat. but I will be sewing in between. Too bad we don't have a live chat set up like they do for some of the mystery days. That's fun. Maybe I can invite DGD over for a couple of sewing hrs. We'll see. I haven't been pulling fabrics yet, but I do have some 'sets' in my stash that might work. Any hints on colors or amounts of fabric? I am stashbusting this year for sure. So far in=0, out=20 yds?
