I am on Marie's mailing list and received this notification today.  I have enjoyed her Cobbled Court quilting series.

http://mariebostwick.com/

"THREADING THE NEEDLE, the fourth title in my Cobbled Court series of novels, will be released on May 31st, 2001. I am delighted with the reaction early readers have had to the story of Madelyn Beecher and Tessa Woodruff, estranged friends who left New Bern as girls and have returned as women, one because she wants to and one because she must. More than one person has told me that THREADING THE NEEDLE is their favorite Cobbled Court book so far, and while I could never pick a favorite among my books (you might as well ask me to pick a favorite among my children) I'm not going to argue with them.

From THREADING THE NEEDLE
The economic downturn has hit New Bern, Connecticut, and Tessa Woodruff's herbal apothecary shop, For the Love of Lavender, is suffering. So is her once-happy thirty-four-year marriage to Lee. They'd given up everything to come back to New Bern from Boston and start their business, but now they're wondering if they made the right decision. To relieve the strain, Tessa signs up for a quilting class at the Cobbled Court Quilt Shop, and to her surprise, rediscovers the power of sisterhood - along with the childhood friend she thought she'd lost forever…

Madelyn Beecher left New Bern twenty years ago and never looked back. But when her husband is convicted of running a Ponzi scheme and she's left with nothing but her late grandmother's cottage, she is forced to return to the town she fled. Unfortunately, the cottage is in terrible shape. Madelyn's only hope is to transform it into an inn. But to succeed, she'll need the help of her fellow quilters, including the one friend she never thought she'd see again - or forgive. Now Madelyn and Tessa will have to relive old memories, forge new ones, and realize it's possible to start over, one stitch at a time - as long as you're surrounded by friends…

I hope you'll have a chance to read THREADING THE NEEDLE and will tell your friends about it too. It will be available able on May 31st in book, e-book, and audio versions through your favorite bookstore or online retailer.

One stitch at a time: Author Marie Bostwick

http://www.journalstandard.com/mysource/entertainment/x437333961/The-Readers-Writers-One-stitch-at-a-time-Author-Marie-Bostwick

Bestselling author Marie Bostwick worked in the bean fields of Oregon, performed in musical productions and TV commercials, taught religion to deaf children, directed a medical mission for the poor, and directed women’s ministries, among other activities. She’s also been married for nearly three decades and raised a family.

Throughout, Marie has enjoyed one pastime in particular – quilting. She still participates in quilting bees, though now she takes her favorite chair with her.

Her debut WWII historical romance novel was “Fields of Gold.” But it was her third novel, which, I believe, opened a door that Marie probably won’t ever willingly walk back through. In “On the Wings of the Morning,” Marie surrounded her heroine with other women possessing great internal strength and character.

Marie carried this theme to her acclaimed Cobbled Court quilters series. “A Single Thread,” introduced how tragedy and conflict sewed a group of quilters into a sisterhood of solidarity.

In the fourth title of this series, “Threading the Needle,” the sisterhood is confronted with the difficulties of economic downturn and the ensuing destruction hard times can bring to families. More than ever before the ladies will need each other in order to quilt a future from ragged remnants, one stitch at a time.

Hi, Pat:  No, I wasn't there this year.  That weekend was my and my hubby's 23rd wedding anniversary and we went away to Maryland.  I hope you sold a lot of George's!
