Hi Pat & Margi,

Can you offer us any advice on sending things to foreign participants?

I suspect all countries have some kind of restrictions these days on what can and cannot be permitted through customs.

I always check at the post office when I send something overseas - and I've had no problems sending to Britain, Australia or Canada (so far) and I've been surprised at how helpful my postal clerk has been.

For non us mailings just be sure it fits in that one box that is a flat rate price.  other than that it should be fine!!

Sabineke I've run swaps on the net for 10 yrs and we try VERY HARD to educate people on the process and keep them on track to completion.   But unfortunately I can't promise everyone is perfect ... and in every event we do have a 'bump' ... usually worked out!!! I think we are as reliable as you will find!

Yes, I agree. I've been a swaps moderator at the Embroideryswaps forum a couple of years ago and this always went well. Now I participated in two swaps linked to blogs, both ending around last october and nothing here :-( I did enjoy making my items though!

Yes, they are! I am really looking forward to doing something really special- I think I'll use my own hand-dyed fabric and play with lots of embellishments and gorgeous threads! Creativity is so good for a persons heart, soul and mind!

I have never tried a mini quilt before.  So this may be a dumb question, but do we just make one 12 inch block and that will be the quilt?
Thanks,
karen

yes that's it!! The pattern is on the Death by Quilting sight. You MUST make either the pieced quilt or the applique from the pattern. Then embellish as you like.. it's fully quilted.
