6.   Fold in half with focus fabric on outside (you will be tempted to fold it the other way –
7.   Trim both ends even and stitch across the short ends.
8.   Press the seam open.

9.   Turn the seams inside out to form a point. Press.  If you had pressed the unit when you folded it, you can line the seam up with the slight indention to make sure it is even.

You can put your point turner into the little V that is formed & turn it inside out.

Stitch with a decorative button or topstitching with decorative machine stitch, etc.

I have a very narrow antique table so I will make a couple a little wider and make two to use as place mats crossing the table, as some times I leave a quilt on the table - I took it off for the pic, so you could see what I meant.

I love this pattern - but today I had 10 minutes to make 6 table runners - so I just folded the fabric under and pressed it and put it on the tables... after dinner, I picked up the 1/2 yd pieces and put them back into my stash....  I'm such a cheat!!!  shame on me!

I should add, that if you used a "solidish" (is that a word- LOL!) fabric for the border - you could embroider something there.
You see why she called them table linens - without batt.
Glad you like, glad to share  Kiss
