Pie crust is what pie is all about isn't it?Huh

I've done black Friday a few times but usually I worked in a office where we didn't have the day off! So I had to take vacation...

I could have done it this year but it's more fun when you go with someone ... the hunt and then coffee and onto the rest of the day.. hehe!!!

Did see Michael's has some stuff today I might want to look at.. so may heard over there... and Target... but not until near to dinner time when everyone else has gone home for the day.. LOL!

Had a great day yesterday - started cooking at 8:00 and everything was ready and we ate at 3:00.  Took the turkey out and left it all sealed in the bag for an hour while we baked the dressing, yams, broccolli casserole and then the rolls (mine were a little over done but still fluffy on inside!).  Baked the pies the night before and ate them at 6:00!

I have never had such lumpy mashed potatoes and lumpy gravy as well.  Guess it was my lumpy day - but they were really good Cheesy. The mini marshmallows rose so high on the bottom shelf they engulfed the upper rack - really funny but they were yummy!

When Dinner was done the kids (son, dil, gs and gd) did the
dishes while John and I sat and watched some of the Cowboy/Raiders game. (Cowboys played great - finally a decent season!)

Have a 20 lb turkey with only one breast gone and one thigh - so lots and lots of left overs. Today I will cut it up (safely in fridge for now) and make a big pot of soup.  Probably turkey enchiladas tomorrow night and again later next week.

Aren't relatives fun!  Had a bil for 15 years who always disappeared after a meal and would go into a bedroom and take an hour or so nap!! and on an on about them!!!

Off to get my nails done and maybe a little stop somewhere to shop if parking lot is not packed - would like to go to Target!

I might do a little shopping today also. I have only one client at noon and didn't schedule anyone else all weekend. I took a vacation and man, did I need it. I'm not getting as much done as I thought I would, but I'm still working on inventory for the craft show Fri. YIKES!

I hope everyone had a Thanksgiving as nice as ours.  Last minute cancelations left us with just the immediate family but it was really sort of nice.  All three daughters were home and husband and I were wondering aloud if this is the last Thanksgiving that would be like this.  We will probably be welcoming others into the family in the coming years and I soaked up every minute of our little piece of Thanksgivings past.

The girls got their dad "Rock Band" and a Wii last year for Father's Day and we thought they got it for themselves.  However, we had a great time playing all of the Beatle's old songs.  Children were amazed that their old parents knew every word to every song!  We're not brain dead yet!  Husband reallly got into playing the 'drums' and I have many great blackmail shots for future use.

Pumpkin pie for breakfast?  But of course!!!!
