I like to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (a tradition that the youngun's don't care about!) so I cook while watching.  Then I can also watch pregame on Fox followed by a game!

I tell everyone to be here at 1:00 and we might be able to have all here and eat by 2:00 (or whenever that darn turkey is done!)!

We usually eat at about 2:30 or 3:00.  Gives you enough time to get over feeling stuffed by bed time.  Also gives others time to visit before they have to go home.  Someone usually drives from about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Macadamom (Did I spell that right?)  Absolutely!  I share all recipes.

The brie recipe is from www.allrecipes.com  I get a LOT of great recipes from there.  I have not tried this one yet but it looks really good.  I think I'll leave out the rosemary but otherwise I'll follow the recipe.  I am also going to make crab cakes as appetizers from that site but I can't remember which recipe I was going to use!  UGH!! Embarrassed

Happy B'day Pat - and a BIG HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all - where ever you are.

We won't eat - officially - until 6PM at our son's... However, we still have to 'taste test' the pies, right?
I promise not to sample the wine until we get there...

Oh, it is too early for beer too so I just poured myself an iced tea. Make DH drive and go ahead and tap that wine! LOL
Happy B'day Pat. My oldest grandson's b'day is the 23rd and sometimes it walls on T'day.

I hope everyones meals turned out wonderful!  Mine did and the last minute bird..(well asl of Monday night we were not cooking...) was yummy, a little more dry than last year but far from DRY,  It's kind of nice being able to fiddle around and experiment with cooking methods before I actually host the meal.  I am also so glad Adam doesn't insist on having any of his familys traditional dishes so I can have mine hehe.  He figures it's all Thanksgiving anyways and is glad I don't make any "grose" dishes like crazy stuffing, or yams, or green bean casseroles.  thats what he says not me!!

We had the best t'day dinner at DD's. She was perfectly timed this year (first batch of rolls were a tad underdone). The pie was good, but not my usual cause I used store bought crust. YIKEES. You would have thought it would make such a difference? I did put the aluminum strips around the crust to keep it from being charred. That was good. DH made mushrooms. SIL was his usual stannd offish self. He actually left the room when I came in. LOL People, you gotta love em. I don't do black Fri. I slept to 7:30.
