I recently discovered the wonderful art of punchneedle.  I have been able to adapt many quilt patterns to punchneedle patterns and then incorporate them into a quilt or wall hanging.  It's quick, easy and extremely portable.

I started doing punchneedle because I have SOOOOOO.. much DMC embroidery floss!  I used to do counted cross stitch (a lifetime ago), and I think I had all the colors.  Then, I have been going to estate sales, and I have bought a few "batches" of floss, so I have a ton.

I think it is fun.  I did a wall hanging in the early 70's with yarn, and I enjoyed it then, too.

Do most people work with kits, or buy books?  I just used a miniature quilt pattern, traced on cross stitch fabric (yes, I have a bunch of that, too).

The needlepunch is such a fabulous look... how do you set the pieces?
