These blocks are just too cute.  I had to sign up!

My brain is already racing with ideas of settings.

I want to make more blocks TOO!!!

Here are some questions asked and answers...

Answers to questions

- Swap 6 blocks.. just like it says.. you MAIL 6 BLOCKS in each set.
1 set = 6 blocks.
2 sets = 12 blocks
3 sets= 18 blocks

if YOU want to make extra's to keep that is between you and you.. LOL!

-Fabric choices.
Your blocks in SET 1 and blocks in SET 2 (or more) must be different than each other.  do NOT send 12 identical blocks if you are doing 2 sets.
So IN a set you can use different fabrics if you like, but be sure if you are doing more than one set that groups of 6 are different.

-Using the pattern to practice
Yes you can use the tea cup pattern to practice .. it's a gift from me.  And I highly recommend you post a photo of your block. If you are new to applique we can tell you if it's ready for swapping.

-Hand applique
Yes can hand applique, but you know most people will machine applique and that is what you'll get back.
Yes to hand blanket stitch too

REMINDER
-cut away the fusible on the teacup!!!! DO NOT do FULL FUSIBLE!!!!  Don't know what that means? Get out my Learn to Applique book... I have it all in there.

What fun I had at the quilt shop for this swap. The only problem was that the Queen of Hearts kept following me around and that rabbit kept telling me we were late for a very important date. In spite of them, I got my cute, cute fabric, came home and washed it, and I am ready to roll. Also picked up some beads.

I didn't get to the quilt shop, but did get by the library and picked up the book. Maybe it will give me some ideas for the teacup.

Okay, I need a little instruction on the steam....  How do you do that?
Thanks in advance.

Angie I embroidered the steam by hand with a stem stitch.
do you know what that is? If not I'll try and find it online.

if you are good with your machine you could do a decorative stitch... but remember many of those need a stabilizer behind just one piece of fabric

let me know if that helped
