I love it!  Haven't started mine yet... gotta finish a few UFOs first.
Might have to re-think my colors and do it Bonnies way.... but I think
I will be happy with my color choices too.

More string quilt blocks here too this year.  Will either use them to something similar to Bonnie's quilts or as practice for FMQ - my "me" project for the year!!

I am really liking string blocks. I have seen some beautiful ones around on the net.

Well i have been playing with options, as i think my brown strings are not playing nicely. Might have to use them for something else. I have 4 options so far and while i dont like the idea of piecing more ( i havnet finished the original o es yet!) i like thestring units replaced with a neutral version. I still have a lot of ohio star u its and purple syri gs to make so there is no rush to decide. I have posted some options and appreciate any input.  I may need more blocks up on the design wall to really see what works.

When looking at the smaller pics ... I do like the original one, but that's me.   The border will most likely really spruce it up, no?

You're probably right Shirley. I think i will wait til i have more blocks done and then put up more to get a better idea.

I like option 4, too - if you're doing all that work, it should stand out!

Thanks to you all. I agree Thea, and it would be worth it to make the new string blocks. Im leaning this way.
