I ate half the salad for lun-din and saved the rest to today's lunch. DH did finally eat something. Tonight I will probably nuke the last of the lasagna for my dinner. He is on his own. (He overdoesd on Benedryll responding to the allergic reaction and slept 16 hrs. I'm done with him.) Fed Up in NJ!  Cry

In-laws are arriving tomorrow, so I am cooking today.  I just made the best fruit salad with a can of cherry pie filling, mandarin oranges and pineapple and other stuff.  It wouldn't all fit in my container, so I ate the extra.  Yum!

I also have a roast in the crockpot, potato casserole in the oven, and a coconut pie in the frig.  Tomorrow I will add a green salad, and English peas and rolls.  Yum...sounds good to me.

I thought of you, Pat, when I opened that can of cherry pie filling.  Did you ever get your cherry pie?

I never DID find a cherry pie.............. sniff!! But I saw some that looked pretty good and may go get one soon. I do have a pie filling and a frozen crust.. but have not worked with that yet.

trying to decide if I should try a bread recipe with 1/2 recipe first or go for whole thing.. it makes 4 loaves!

Will be grilling a Porterhouse steak with baked potatoes, spinach salad with plum tomatoes and green beans.  Then for dessert we are making the Chocolate Mug Cake with butter pecan ice cream!

Just finished sandwiches with Einstein bagels, cream cheese, spinach, sliced white onion and slice tomato.  We have to drive 40 minutes to get the bagels so Thursday when I went to neuorolgist, another 5 minutes past there, I stopped and bought the bagels.  Remains are in the freezer.  Love those bagels!!

I'm trying a new recipe for Taco-Corn Chili.  Its cold here, and soup just sounded good.  I hope it is good!

Tomorrow I am trying another new recipe for crunchy chicken bites with a Thai peanut sauce.  Sounds good!  I'll let you know.

The peanut sauce tasted great, but I never did get it to thicken so we had very thin peanut sauce.   The chicken was rather bland, but we ate it anyway.
