Hi everyone, I am new to the Forum, and introduced myself over in that topic. I mentioned that my Dear Husband (Rick Cook) is an author and has several books out. It was suggested that I list them over here in the Book Cafe......so here goes.
Rick writes as Rick Cook, and his book publisher has been Baen Books. His books are mostly science fantasy.  (Please note that these have all been out for a few years. Long involved story, but most are still available in one form or another. Baen has been in the forefront of E-Books for a while.)

The Wiz Series. This is a series that involves an alternate "world" where magic works. And a computer programmer who ends up there (to save the World) and lots more. Fun, lots of puns, computer in-jokes that are funny anyway and so on.

Wizard's Bane
The Wizardry Compiled
Above 2 combine in one volume as "Wiz Biz"
The Wizardry Cursed
The Wizardry Quested
these two make up "Wiz Biz 2"
The Wizardry Consulted.

These (above) may be found at used book stores and such. The combined volumes are still available and they may be available as E-Books from Baen.

Rick wrote one "hard science fiction" novel, "Limbo System". It is a first contact type novel and many people love it. we feel that somewhere in that almost 100,000 words is a pretty good 85,000 word novel fighting to get out.  (Another long story about being married to a writer on deadline.... and fighting the story. sigh)

The other novel he has written had the working title of "haunted shopping mall" an ended up as "Mall Purchase Night".  Another light fantasy story. Not as much science, but elves, brownies and more. Fast read. (I got to be a consultant on this one..... there is an alterations department with an alterations lady who gets some surprising help........)

Hope some of you will find these to be of interest. They are fun.
