I look forward to reading these tips.  I am digging out unfinished projects and old fabric I've had for at least 5 years and thinking of all my cousins and their kids I can make quilts for.  Some of the cousins have had babies a few years ago and I never made quilts for them, but I figure better late than never!  (Winnie the Pooh fabric never goes out of style, right?)  Then George will help me get them quilted pretty quickly.  My husband tells me that I am not working George hard enough these days!

I'm going to focus more on getting UFOs done... BUT much of it relates to stash too!

Only 5 years, Annabelle?   I won't tell you how long some has been in mine then...let alone the ages of some of my UFO's!  Grin

Shirley, I started quilting about 7-8 years ago, but 5 years ago I got heavily involved in a charity quilting project called Marine Comfort Quilts (MCQ).  I bought tons of fabrics over the years mainly for MCQ.  The project has basically come to a close and they don't need my help anymore.  I recently have started working with another group on Quilts of Valor.  But still it seems that my QOV efforts have only put a small dent in my stash Wink

I have UFO's too that need to be gotten out of the closet and finished.  But need the time and energy to get them done.  Maybe the tips will get me motivated... Huh

I'm going to explain what to do!!

first post is up... and a newsletter reminder goes out at 8am

I have an extra tip... do NOT get sidetracked when doing this step

Do not sort fabric,
Do not fix up your room,
Do not get into 'collections'
Do not go clean the bathroom instead... STAY FOCUSED!

You definitely DO NOT have remind/tell me NOT TO CLEAN the bathroom!  HAHAHAHAHA!  Although, come to think of it....when I REALLY, REAAAALLLLY don't want to do something, the first thing out of my mouth is--"I'd rather be scrubbing a toilet!"  HA!  Shocked
