My Mom was cleaning out some kitchen cabinets, and she was going to throw out this cookie jar. Well, I made off with it, and it came home to live with me. I don't have room for it in my kitchen, and I would like to have it in my sewing area.
What could I use a green apple cookie jar for in my sewing area? I know someone has an awesome idea!

Storage is what comes to mind.... filled with buttons, thread, floss...
is it stable enough to be opened and shut a lot?

Depending how big this cookie jar is, I would store my rotary cutters in there! Yes, I do have alot of those LOL Or some of your favorite/most used threads?
Let us know what you decide, Cindy!

I save thread clippings...b/c "ONE" day I'm going to make one of those scarves where you put lots and lots of pretty, different threads, yarns, rick rack, whatever, between two pieces of water soluble stabilizer and then stitch all over it like crazy with some more pretty threads...that's what I might use the cookie jar for--to put my thread clippings and all in. Or buttons like Pat suggested. Or hey...how about a cookie stash in the sewing room?

I have a M.A. Hadley crock that holds my rotary cutters. It makes it so easy to find the size I need. But I think CHOCOLATE would be the best. Of course, it would be there for pure Medicinal purposes. Laurie

Love the cookie/candy stash idea. I keep candy in the 2 cookie jars on the kitchen counter as we don't eat cookies. All the kids (and we start them early) know where G&G keep their candy!

LOL I have a cookie jar that I painted in ceramics many years ago. I think I just might bring it to the sewing room ... with my candy stash! But it is one big honkin' cookie jar!!

I've started a new trend. We all need cookie jars in our sewing room for our chocolate stash!

wonder how much it is cost to fill my cookie jar with Hersey kisses?? May take pic of it later and show you just how big it really is. You know... I think it has only had cookies in it twice! The last thing that was in there was my stash of red hot fire balls! LOL
