I just had spinal fusion surgery and really miss being able to sit and sew!!  Just needed to vent.  Even hand stitching is not appealing yet.  I'm only 4 weeks out and tired alot and can't really concentrate on small stitches or reading... BORED!!  Looking forward to our vacation in Sept. even though I'll be in a wheelchair.  I'll make it fun!  Grin

Becca, why not peruse you quilting magazines and books while you are laid up. Then you can use sticky notes to mark #1, 2, etc. that you want to work on when you get back on your feet. Wink

Do you have any EQ quilt software?  You could design your own quilt now and fine tune it Smiley

Thanks for all the suggestions!   Grin   I actually do have some EQ software.  I hadn't considered that.  Oddly enough, I sorted my fabric in anticipation of being able to sew right away after surgery.... but that will come.  I am working on some applique projects a little bit as I can in my comfy chair.    Smiley

It is finally fall today.  My favorite season.  Put up 5 quarts of pickles and 2 pints of hot peppers.  Neglected to wear gloves to cut up the peppers and had to try about 6 different remedies to get the hot pepper oil off my fingers.  I was pretty much successful finally.
