I will be digging in the totes to pull up yet another FIU project.  I know I won't have to dig too far  Cheesy  But I have to get rid of this nasty cold I picked up. So I may only just cut strips/squares for my scrappy quilts I'm going to make this year!  I have got the batting to finish DD quilt drapes so those maybe the first on my agenda as I would like them done this month!

Sandi, I'm with you!  If I write it here I tend to work until it is done!!

Happy finishing to all!

I'd say by April 1 I will be on track with work projects enough to pull out a project to finish.

I have a few quilts that I've used to do George Demos and they are ALMOST quilted up! I'm going to finish, bind wash until soft and then decide what to do with them. MOST Of the quilting on them is mine, but some are people trying the machine.. and they are HEAVILY quilted .. so  hoping they do get soft when I wash them!

my stack of quilts to be quilted is sinfully large... so that is my FIU project.. to either quilt them or sell the tops if I don't intend to keep and enjoy them.. make room for new!

what project do you have that is ALMOST done? Needs binding.. a bit more quilting... ?

I have a quilt project that I taught to friends at a retreat a few years ago. I called it "Hearth and Home" and it was inspired by an old quilt made by my Great Aunt Marian. I had it machine quilted by my friend, Denise. All it needs is the binding! Finishing this one is at the top of my FIU list!
The stockings for "Seasons of Grace" are posted on my "design board" and that's what I am working on this afternoon. I was going to try to finish it by the end of the month but I think I read that you have one more stocking to post for April. Is that right, Pat? So, if I can't finish the stockings quilt by the end of March, maybe I can at least finish the binding on my retreat quilt!

I was just signing off when I saw this...thanks for the info, as I already have an extra stocking because I made a boy and a girl gingerbread stocking. I think I will make sure I have sixteen stockings so I may need to make yet another one. No shortage of fabrics for it. :-)

As if I didn't already have enough unfinished projects, I started participating in a "Breakfast Club" that my local quilt shop began offering in January.  A friend of mine owns the shop, so OF COURSE I had to support her in this new endeavor...and it's ONLY one Saturday a month...AND she feeds us a scrumptious breakfast before we start...AND it's three whole hours of sewing bliss in the company of women who share the same interest I do...WHAT MORE CAN A WOMAN WANT, RIGHT?!?!?  LOL   Grin  Grin  Grin  All the projects are based on 2 1/2" strips, too, so how much simpler could we get.  Ummm...yeah...here we are in March...and here I am with three more ALMOST FINISHED projects.  HAHA!   Shocked

So, I really do have a GREAT set of black, brown and cream placemats and a matching (in color) table runner from January and February's Breakfast Club that just need to be quilted and need binding--seriously, two days max if I quilt them in the hoop, which I want to do--or even if I just machine quilt them, too.  And now, courtesy of this past weekend, I have a beautiful spring-colored wall/table quilt that is almost completely pieced, but just doesn't want to quite line up even though I've talked very badly to it many, many times.  Sharon--I want to tell you--that saying bad words just isn't working out for me!!   Roll Eyes

So...yes, many unfinished projects that I could easily finish in just a few days, probably a week at the max.  One my main problems is this little thing called "work".  But--I do need to be careful there, because I really AM THANKFUL to have such a problem.   Wink

I'm up for a FIU weekend. I'm going to Lancaster Show the end of the month so I hope it's not that weekend.  Roll Eyes

I just finished a 40 year work in progress.  My mom started it in high school, then I found it and started working on it in Jr. High (before I knew what I was doing!) Then I took it out a couple of weeks ago and finished it.  It is sewn, quilted, and bound!!!!  It is a Funky Square quilt.  It was made with cardboard templates and cut out with scissors.  It's made with scraps from different clothing projects through out the 40 years.  There is even a piece of vinyl on it!
