ohhhh... I collect THREE quilts into a tub and they are now NEAR George to be finished.. I'm thinking I should put them IN the chair so I can't work on anything until I do a bit on one of them....
Also I'm TOTALLY insane as my girlfriends were over last night and we were chatting about doing a quilt together.. we each make it and challenge each other... maybe this will work.. one little block at a time.. mmmm

I am working on quilting a Project Linus quilt that a friend pieced (only the rows), so that I can quilt my sister's Christmas present. I hope to finish that and coast into the holidays...LOL

Just finished my table topper for a friend and ready to rinse it and the matching napkins after I make 8 more napkins for the veggie side. The other side is two flower patterns with large center and wide border! Photo to follow tomorrow! Will also start cutting burgundy strips for a new pattern I picked up at Strippers Club this morning using "mocha mint" bali pops - will replace greens with burgundy strips! Quilt is for my oldest granddaughter. Having fun today - oldest daughter here for stew dinner and she will do her laundry as it is so expensive at her apartment!! Karen in Tucson where summer will be here for at least another 6 weeks!

I wanted something to Finish Up yesterday, and thought maybe my teacup blocks. But when Rod got the box down, there were my pumpkin swap blocks from 2007. I love fall, orange and green are my favorite colors, and pumpkins make me smile So I put the top together yesterday, and still have to sandwich, quilt, and bind it. But hopefully I will finish it up this coming weekend. Oh how funny to see pictures of your pumpkin swap quilt and surely a fine quilt it is. I would like to know if the others finished and see pictures of theirs. That is one of my UFO´s I would like to finish soon.

I worked on my turkey tracks swap while I watched Marley & Me. I thought I might make the red set for the swap and an extra blue set for me. I liked both colors so why not?

Sounds like a GREAT idea to mix them up with red and blue blocks!

I have a UFO FIU goal for this weekend!
I pulled out a UFO out of my tub today and I'm bound and determined I will finish piecing the top this weekend. Of course it's thanksgiving weekend and we have a long weekend so I have plenty of time to procrastinate LOL!
I don't recall the name of the pattern but it was in the premiere issue of Irish Quilting (btw, I got the latest issue and lo and behold there is Pat in the magazine! Yay you!!!). It used a charm pack and a jelly roll. I chose Moda's Bistro line.
I've misplaced the magazine however I'm at the pieced sashing point so I know I can finish it without the pattern in front of me.
However, as I have only been stitching for such a short time, this quilt top was my one of my first ones that wasn't table runner size. I wasn't exactly perfect in my exactness. So of course the pieced sashing doesn't line up. That's probably why I put it away way back when, I was frustrated with my ineptness (ok, with my beginner-ness). But now I know how to make it work so I'm ripping apart sashing and making it fit. Yay!
Its a lap quilt size so I know I can get this done this weekend. (cross your fingers!)
I checked my tub of finishes this morning and I have 2 lap quilt size and one large sized quilt top finished...with this that will be 4!! Time to buy some backing fabric and batting!!!!
