Alda, Love the quilt.  I happen to enjoy putting on the bindings.  I machine to the front and then watch tv while I hand stitch the back down.  Wish I could help you out as I am out of hand work at the moment.  Waiting for 4 quilts to get back so I can bind and label them.

Thank you Karen for the offer and that was exactly what I did, pretended to watch something on tv while I sewed on the binding. I am now in the process of sewing the binding on my daughters quilt (this quilt is way overdue) and hopefully something boring will be on the tv tomorrow evening, LOL  Grin

Today is a rainy day - and the last session of the 4 part quilt class I'm teaching - so I'll be finishing up my class project today, and I have just finished the binding on my Sandy Gervais pumpkin quilt from last year, so now I can finish up my Gobble Gobble challenge quilt!
Is anyone else doing a Christmas Parade this weekend?  I'll be downtown to serve cookies & cocoa to the parade participants on Saturday afternoon.
I'll post a few pics next week.

Pat, I love the pink and green quilt for yourself. That Iceland bought blue is a beauty also. I guess they really need quilts there.
Just found out my youngest grand is turning away from the grandparents. She is going to the intermediate holiday dance instead of helping me at the craft show. Of all the nerve. LOL Sad though b/c this is the first of the steps away from gram into a different level. Sigh. I know, I know I'm being selfish. Sometimes, I am selfish. Help me, Obi Waun.
I've finihsed off two more purses and three steno pad covers. I sure hope I sell some of this stuff. Otherwise what will I do with it? Should I made some steno pad covers in Christmas fabrics? Hmmm what do you guys think?

I think you should make some in Christmas fabric, Sharon. They would make nice gifts to teachers. Or people could use them for Christmas lists. I can't relate to the grand daugther moving on/away as my daughter is only 8! But I feel for you. When we moved away from the city my parents live in it was very hard on my daughter and my dad. They are like 2 peas in a pod. They are both really looking forward to Christmas!! Enjoy your craft show. Best of luck. If there are any extra you could give as gifts, donate to a charity, perhaps a school is having a craft sale. Or keep for next year!

Sharonn also put out a list of 'ideas' of WHO to give the items to... I would use non christmas myself as they will work all year.. and if someone buys as a gift they will be giving it near the holiday... just my thought!

Yeah, I was wondering how to put out posters/lists of uses/persons to give to. I figured print out on regular paper from computer, glue to poster board, but how to get them to stand or hand them up. I only have an 8' table which is the biggest. I'm scared and excited all at the same time. Thanks for the tip on gift giving myself with the extras. Perhaps DD could let DGD give some to her teachers. The steno pads might be a good thing. Oh My - heart palpitations. What is wrong with me?

You'll do fine!  they make a 'stand' to attach to the back of poster boards.. check Micheal's ... and you can get an inexpensive book holder too.

i did craft shows for years.. the holiday ones were the best and after the first you get a feel for it. But have a thick skin as people 'forget' that YOU made the items and sometimes they say stuff in front of you... LOL!!! Like 'I don't like THAT fabric'... hehe.... just let that roll.. it's the same as if you go into target and say you don't like that print... but in Target the person who picked it is not right in front of you!

just have fun!

Thanks for the heads up, Pat. I'm pretty thick skinned. I'm more concernmed with boxes of stuff left over. Of course, I don't have that many boxes of stuff to begin with. LOL

OK, the craft show was cancelled!!! What am I going to do with all this inventory. Anyone want a steno pad cover with matching pen? LOL No, I'll give them away for presents. Not sure what to do with the ironing spray. Maybe give that too. LOL Now I have Fri. all clear. DH was dianosed with pneumonia this a.m. I'm buying my meals and now that he is sure he doesn't have the swine flu, he is hungry also. I guess I'll buy his meal too. Roll Eyes

Sharon how disappointing Sad Are there any other shows coming up that you could enter? So much talent surely you should get paid for some of your products! Smiley Gifts are nice, but so is the satisfaction of selling. Keep your eyes open. And chin up! Congrats on being ready, anyway Smiley Glad your husband is going to be okay.

oh so sorry to hear that about the show!! But good news on the huzbin eval... and yes... get him some food too... LOL!

Maybe there is a consignment place you can put your items in for the holidays.. or a local gift shop that would take them on consignment.. they take a % and you get paid for what sells.. at least they would be out there with chance of selling
