Okay, Pat. I'm in. I'm already 'signed up' for a spring to finish list. One of the biggies on my list - is MUCH bigger than I originally thought! Shocked
I need to make 100 flying geese blocks that measure 6 1/2 wide by 3 1/2 high. These are part of the borders on a quilt my sister and I are making for our parents' 40th anniversary in July. The middle of the quilt is Bonnie Hunter's double delight. This part is DONE!  I think I will find my sister's picture and post that part here (as my parent's don't follow this forum and it's a secret!) Lips sealed
So - my goal is to get the geese done!!
I just rechecked my numbers this morning and it is definitely 100. I do have a quick method cheat sheet so the 'how' won't be a problem. The 'when' and 'how many' might be. . . I'm starting to cut fabrics today and will start the production next week.
This gives me the weekend to psyche myself up!!
Thanks for the extra push and the cheering section - I fear I will need it Grin

sarah, are you using the no waste method?  that way you'd make 4 at a time...you'd only have to do it 25 times.  25's nothing right =)

yes, I am! I found it online to make a dutchman's puzzle block. I tested it awhile ago and was shocked how quick and easy it was. Now to do it for real!

I'm in and will finish the backing for my "Sweet Latte" quilt for DD and finish up the "Dot to Dot" top for GDD.  Then off to quilter and if I work fast, might even get them back to do the binding in week 2.  Will also put binding on my Christmas quilt - all ready and waiting top sew on!

That will be a good start!!

I'[m in-now to pick from my many UFO's! I will do that tomorrow. I have been out of the sewing room for the best part of the last couple of weeks, and itching to get back in! Can't wait.

I cut my geese fabric this morning to make sure I have enough - and I do! Not worried about the background as it's white and I have 2 yards. White is easier to find in my LQS. Here's to gettting a jump on the geese this weekend and maybe I can actually sew the borders together next week!!

I'm in! My guild as a UFO challenge going on. I'm one of the co-facilitators and am doing fairly well overall but hit a bit of a progress-slump last month. It's a little embarrassing not to keep up on a challenge I'm running! Grin

It sort of depends on how you define "finished"--I have a pieced top that I need to do backing on to get it to the longarm quilter. Would that constitute a "finish" if I'm able to just get it to the next step?LOL

I have one UFO I'd like to get machine quilted (myself) and bound this month. That's my main goal.

If YOU consider it finished THAT is ALL that matters!!! I don't like rules.... you do what work for you!!

Of course if you FINISH that one than you MUST finish another!

GO SARAH GO with the Geese!!!!

Next week I'll be working on Getting my demos and lectures ready for the trade show.. then back to my Novelty fabric book... which I'm going to get to in about an hour when I finish writing up something else!
