But if you don't have a reader, like me, you can download a free app reader for Nook or Kindle to your PC & start downloading books, either free ones or paid for ones. The Nook saves your library on their server & think the Kindle works same way. Your books never go away until you delete them.

Friendship Bread is excellent - just started over the weekend and just wanted to read!

"Friendship Bread is a book that transports you to a place where your heart is soothed and uplifted as you experience the grief, petty faults, and random kindnesses all humans share. Ultimately, it makes you love your very own flawed and precious life."  part of a review by Nancy Thayer

I just finished a really nice book (hard cover - a real book!) - The Goodby Quilt by Susan Wiggs. About a mother driving cross country to take her only child to college, sewing the embellishments on the quilt as they go. Wonderful story.

Bobbie... I downloaded the kindle for PC and several FREE books.  My only complaint is I have to sit here at the desktop.  I do have a couple shelves FULL of paperbacks to take with me, but I hate to try and read two different books at once.  Think I may ask for a Kindle for Christmas Wink

You'll love the Kindle, HM. Can you load them from the computer to an Ipod if you have it? Just wondering.

I got the software to work on my computer - it's really nice.

I also downloaded the software for audio books, but so far it is incompatible with my MP3 Player.  Sign - I'll keep working on it.

Pat, I replied on other thread, but I'll reply here too. Lisa Bowyer (sp?) has a couple of funny books, that are very light reading. One of them is "Stash Envy". Don't remember the other titles, but she is very funny.
