I enjoy her books too Karen. One of the few authors that has actually made me laugh out loud when reading. I haven't read the latest one yet, but have it downloaded to my Nook. I am forcing myself to read my kids summer reading book right now, which is called "Do Hard Things". It's a nonfiction book that is about the low expectations that society has for teen agers. Their whole year at school this year is going to be themed around this, so the whole highschool 7 to 12th grade has to read it. It's a bit of a struggle for my 12 year old so I am reading it too so I can help her make sure she understands it.

Just finished Beachcombers by Nancy Thayer.  Loved the book.  I got it at the library and the last 5 people rated it at a 1, being the highest number to rate book.  We rate all of the new books at our library.  I will be reading more of her books.  Right now reading Debbie Macomber's 74 Seaside Avenue.  I started with the first book in June and trying to finish all 9 before the 10th one comes out in Sept.  Read The Help and loved that too

Yes, Pat, should be interesting.

I just read the help also, very good. I am reading that Debbie Macomber series, I think I'm on the 5th one. Nice light reading.

I am reading the new Sookie Stackhouse novel Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. I also have a book that I keep in my purse to read while I am waiting for my daughters to get out of school and it is True Stories from Quilters American Patchwork edited by Sonja Hakala

I'm nearly finished with Thread of Truth by Marie Bostwick (sp?). I couldn't put it down, literally. I read most of two nights this week and paid the price the next day. Whose NUTZ?!?!?!? I've packed another of hers. Leaving tomorrow too early for Seattle for a week w/DS and 2 of our Grands. Can't wait. I'm taking my laptop (the light one) and wearing my knee brace (early on the plane LOL). Get to tour That Patchwork Place/Martingale publishing.

Finished Thread of Truth and started A Thread So Thin. Need to pick another book up for the flight back. Seattle is great. I have the day off of DS and 2 grands b/c they have school doings today. Going to Martingale Pub. after lunch. Going to Michaiels to get drawing Pad. I'm taking an on-line Feather class and need to PPP while I can this week. Enjoying myself. Bought a pattern and a quilt shop downtown and some fabric on Mon. at a closer shop that was having a sale. DH said they are always having a sale. YEAH, your point is?Huh?

Martingale MOVED. The nerve! I had to look up the addy on the internet by my phone and then call to get the new addy. They didn't bother tell me when I made the reservation. I made sure we started out early b /c I am late there nearly everytime. So here we are sitting in the empty parking lot and I'm franticallly looking on my phone (remember I am technologically impaired). Long story short. Got there 10" early and I was not the last one in. LOL The book store was great and there were some great quilts on display. I'm going to get their book with two of those quilts in it. Pay, you would love it. Lots of ORANGE. You have converted me. Tomorrow it's Mt. Ranier. Watch for pics when I get back. right now DS and grands are Guitar heroing the Beetles songs. I need an adult beverage. LOL Cheesy

Read "The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo" last week & just finished "The Girl Who Played with Fire."  Don't understand what the big hullaballu is all about these books - they're OK but I need a break from Lisbeth before I read the third one! Author is Stieg Larsson
