Has anyone been watching the new PBS Masterpiece Mystery - Sherlock Holmes series?  They are of a modern Sherlock and quite fun and interesting.  The man playing Sherlock is quite interesting!  Shocked  We watched the 3rd one tonight.  There are sure to be more again in 2011.  Check them out for reruns.  Kiss

Hi, Karen, yes, i've watched it and enjoyed it.  I read in some mystery book blog that it would be a very modern update and so wasn't surprised to see Holmes and Watson using cellphones and laptops.  The Holmes character is very, very quirky but that's what makes the shows extremely interesting!  I can't wait for the next installment in the series.  I hope it'll be soon in 2011.

i'm reading the third in the Steig Larson series - the girl who kicked the hornet's nest.  Almost to the end & I hope it's not a cliff hanger as who knows if the fourth one will ever be published?

Anne Marie, There won't be anymore Steig Larson books. He was killed after the third one. I've read the first, have the second & will get the third, when it comes out in paperback.
Im reading Happiness Key  by Emilie Richards& Angel Medicine, by Doreen Virtue, about healing the mind & body with the help of angels.

Dixie - I just recenty bought the Angel Medicine book, or one of her others. I had an angel reading done in November and ended up in tears it was so true to what was happening/had happened over the year in my life.  It was incredible.  I had never done it before. My friend also had one and the hit the nail on the head with her also.  I am very interested in this subject.

I have always been interested in angels.  I have collected angels for years, figurines, plaques, Jim Shore angels, charms,  and books.  I have been visited by an angel before.

I know that we have guardian angels. My mother had hers with her when she had her heart attack. She wanted her book group to call her husband to come get her as she did not feel well, but one of the women recognized the symptoms and called for an ambulance.  Mom actually had her heart attack in the ER and her doctor was in the hospital. The heart specialist was also at the hospital and had her in and out of surgery with a stint in place less than 30 minutes after her heart attack. Normally the specialist is in Nashville and she would have had to have been flown there by helicopter, but he was there following up on another patient. She had the worse type of heart attack, which most people do not survive, and probably would have died if she had to be flown to Nashville.

Doreen Virtue has cards for angel readings and books about the readings also. I am thinking of buying one of the sets and learning more.

My stepdaughter is a believer of angels.  She has seen the 2 that protect her oldest DD who is mild special needs.  She and I are both able to see auras and I "know" my SDD definitely has at least one angel.  She would not have survived so many close calls.

Wanda, Thanks for that info. I have not been to Doreen's website, I will go & check out.
Karen, That is so awesome, that she has seen the angels. They are all around us everyday & we only have to call on them & they are there.

I am rereading "The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama.  I had first read it years ago when it came out and really enjoyed it.  Then I sent it to one of my brothers and have missed it ever since.  So last year I bought another copy and am enjoying the rediscovery.

Karen I have seen auras at times, but always though it was my eyes going wonky until I read more about them a few years back.

Martha I have seen that book, and looked at it a few times, but have not bought it. May have to get it to read or check it out from the library.

So what is everyone reading? I'm reading "These is My Words" by Nancy Turner.  I think someone here recommended it - good book - looking forward to the 2 sequels too.
